What a funny stupid movie

Loved this second season. The only thing I can’t understand is how no one was physically upset about Amy. They talked about it, mentioned it once in a while. Even before they knew what happened they were just like “oh yeah, Amy’s gone” 🤷🏼‍♂️

The ending made me really sad.

Turned off at the start when her friend mentioned colonisism at the start fs

I liked it. Didn't are a lot about the Conrad issue or the harsh Southern accent it's so annoying. Was the Conrad thing thrown in to scare people not to cry over spilled milk and then end up in prison. And to writers of the world STOP using GOD as a curse word!!

Textbook 90s/00s style romcom, they are having a resurgence, unoriginal, brings absolutely nothing new to the table, predictable, cliche and cringy. Recommended only for the genre fanatics or if you are in the mood for something that you wanna be watching while finishing your report for tomorrow as it requires close to 0 concentration to follow. 5/10

Just watched Baby Reindeer. I felt it was good but incredibly dark at times. I think my favourite part was when Donnie broke down on stage. I Zfound his dad quite funny and scary.

I've been really enjoying this show recently, but there is a comedic (or maybe sad) irony that black people moving to Compton eventually did ruin the neighborhood.

Never read the book or seen the TV series however I do hear that it's like Sliders. For those that know Sliders 90s sci-fi show that follows 4 characters who travel to parallel earths try to get home.

...also I think this season is telling us that time is all happening at the same time and only the moment we are experiencing is our reality. Nothing is permanent and all the deaths and crazy events can be rewritten...maybe Amy's true good side can persuade "Autumn " to do whats right or...maybe none of it matters

I love the cast...Royal, CeCe, Autumn...but i think i like Luke's character the most! I identify with him eventho the others are so good-hearted and i want them to prevail, i also want luke to find purpose

You said there was no resolution or payoff, but I can tell you that from my perspective there was. Both of the characters had “breaks” from the viewers perspective near the end of the film. Owen when he was at the birthday party, and Mattie when she confronted Owen about wanting to be buried alive. Owen up to this point represented the viewer with his “wtf is going on here” perception. Maddie showed us that she was a real character who was obsessed and deranged. Owen at the end showed us that he is living the way he wants to be perceived and that it’s killing him. Both characters in the end showed how much pain they were in due to getting sucked into “reality.”

This movie landed on my top 3 for 2024 so far. It leaves you buzzing with more questions then answers, however after watching it a second time after hearing the directors intent…it was hard not to cry during certain scenes. Most kids under 20 are not going to be able to appreciate this movie. I know this because I saw a theater full of confused teenagers after the movie ended (two times).

This movie is a remake or a rip off of khamoshi the silence released in 1996 a Indian movie

The doc is garbabge and played out cliches. Watching real videos from RUclips really shows how terrible people are and how we need cops, not corrupt cops, obviously, but the idea that cops came about due to controliing slaves is insane

I keep watching because it’s so BIZARRE. Not many intriguing stories out nowadays so i’ll check out s2 (until hollywood ruins it as per usual).

Sorry, it’s not a UK sensibility. It was written and produced by Irish folks and filmed in Ireland. Would you say that same thing if a program was filmed in Canada and say American sensibility ridiculousness

This, the original, is far better than the remake in my opinion.

Finally saw this movie yesterday, and found it underwhelming. The acting in this movie is really really bad. The guy that plays the exterminator is the only decent actor. That said, the cgi is alright

Watched the first episode. It had all the trademark Apple TV beats, quality filming, great actors, VERY slow pace. I just couldn't watch another parallel universe story.

Aim high, put all more contemporary western tropes in a blender, add pinches of gore, don't bounce back from choreographing killing and death (yeah, as abject as in Tarantino concoctions), spice it up with meaningful gibberish, edit it that it stays enigmatic for as long as possible, flout the narrow boundaries of likelihood (they always meet somewhere in the outback of the US whenever needed, they know each other well). The most bloated landscape cinematography in search for a story. Spencer is the single only reason you wanna sit through this.

Even though your review was somewhat negative, it still made me curious because of the subject matter, so I think I'm gonna give it a watch. Thank you for talking about it and all your reviews. Channels like these, talking about movies, are just awesome :)

apparently sense of identity of the director and personal struggle drives themes and plot points. Should a viewer have to do that kind of research to get a film? I mean...I don't know that they should, personally. But with that context it might help reframe intent.

I mention this movie because it's so absolutely bat shit insane it deserves to be put out there from time to time...Ichi the Killer..grab the DC if you really want your jaw to hit the floor. Must have a strong constitution for this one.

I learned my lesson if it has justice smith in it, it will be mid at best. Not a bad actor, but he tends to be in mediocre things.

This movie was "Island of Dr. Moreau" meets "Flowers for Algernon" with a little bit of Pygmalion, directed by Terry Gilliam and art direction by Jules Verne. I loved it.

I liked the snowstorm aspect and that it wasn't just a John Goodman-ish vehicle about killing spiders. The best spider movie -except for Tarantula of course!

Oldman IS Lamb...and what a secret part of every one of us wants to be...I think. So far, the series is incredibly good, although Roddy Ho is more nasty and less goofy than in the books, and the wonderfully explosive Shirley Dander from the books is nowhere to be found in the underwhelming version of her on screen. The final episode of Season Three gets very violent, American-style. Let's hope this does not bode ill for Season Four.

So happy Ilana Glazer is getting more roles. Became a huge fan of her comedic and acting work after bingeing Broad City (on Hulu). Please check it out if you haven’t… I can’t recommend it highly enough. The show is hilarious and my family quote it all the time. I’m so looking forward to seeing this in theaters
